A Modulign orthotic can be fitted in just four easy steps.
Correct placement is important for comfort and effectiveness. Modudome is designed to support the metatarsal arch and reduce pressure in the forefoot. It should sit just behind the painful area, not directly underneath it.
Identify the Pressure Area.
Find the area on the insole where there is increased pressure under the forefoot. This is often shown by a worn or flattened spot and indicates where support is needed.
Choose Your Placement.
Modudome can be attached in two ways:
- On top of the insole for more targeted support;
- On the underside of the insole for a broader and more balanced feel.
Choose the option that suits your comfort and footwear.
Position the Dome.
Place Modudome just behind the worn pressure area, either on the top or underside of the insole.
Place Adhesive.
Stick the adhesive to the flat side of Modudome.
Fit & Test.
Peel back a small section of the adhesive liner and press the dome onto the insole.
Place the insole in your shoe and ensure to test the comfort before securing it fully and peeling back the rest of the adhesive.
Adjust if Needed.
If the dome feels too high or firm, remove one of the modules either by tearing or cutting. You can continue trimming until it feels comfortable.
Any excess material on the sides can also be trimmed.
Secure the Final Position.
Once you are happy with the placement, peel off the remaining adhesive backing and press Modudome firmly into place on your insole.
